Sinking F69

After months of preperation the former HMNZS WELLINGTON aka F69 was finally sunk off the Wellington south coast near Island Bay. The frigate is to be used as a an artificial reef and a diving attraction. Posted by Picasa

Holes had been cut right through the hull of the frigate to insure it sank without any problems. It went down verry quickly and under a much stronger wind than was hoped for. Posted by Picasa
