Te Papa Protest Against Wepons Conference

Last Tuesday 200 to 300 protesters demonstrated outside Te Papa (NewZealands National Musiem) against a Defence industry conference being held inside.

The conference draws growing numbers of protests every year with this year being the biggest so far.

Last year saw around 20 people arrested for varying offences.

Tepapa was shut to visitors for several hours while several attempts to push back the crowd by police and security guards failed.
