Kick AXE!
Kick Axe air guitar performer takes 3rd place at the Wellington heats.
I'm really glad you stopped by to tell me that....
Thanks!
I do try to keep the posts simple (like myself) so that people like yourself can understand it. Unfortunatly it looks as though my efforts are going to waste.
I will attempt to make this blog less "gay" for your reading pleasure, although I'm not completly sure how to do that.
I genrally use photoshop to do minor changes in most of my images, but only to the same degree i would in a dark room. genrally the most I will do is dodging and burning, levels, and sometimes adding saturation.
When I took this shot, the background was crap and there was very little light. I used flash to light the subject and wobbled the camera up and down in a simi circle quickly to blur the background.

I'll be researching it over the next few days.
Great work with the slow shutter + speedlite there! I liked the anzac series; some interesting lights and shadows.
Thanks David,
Almost all the other shots were terrible! The back ground was awful and very little light so I had to use flash.
As you said slow shutter, flash, and I spun the camera back and foward to get rid of the background.
Very nice! This looks real, as in you shot it that way instead of enhancements in photoshop (as so many do these days, and so many do it poorly). :)
